Canada makes sense.
One of the major differences in "tone" that I sense between Canada and the US is demonstrated by the issue of same-sex marriage. While the state and federal judicial bodies of the US engage in an excessively emotional and politically accusative battle, which ties same-sex marriage to fears of liberalism and religious outrage, Canada's Supreme Court coolly decides that it can't legally stop women from marrying other women. Freedom is on the march.

Perhaps with the exception of Alberta, Stacy, which has Ralph Klein, don't forget. The latest sentiment from that camp is that there will be only 'unions' for all of us, gay or straight. Better to do away with 'marriage' entirely than have it bandied about. Sigh.
why do you hate freedom?
